Tim Ottinger, is the owner of The Artist's café which is a “Live Blues and Jazz Venue featuring local artists each night” serving delicious, affordable Louisiana ''Creole'' Food.
Tim grew up in the small town of Stanley, NC. You could literally stand at the town limit and throw a rock and hit the other side of town, but that small town shaped him as a musician. It was in that small town that he started singing in church at the age of 5. He can’t explain how, but he knew even then that he would be singing and performing the rest of my life.
Like so many musicians, he was in and out of bands throughout his 20’s. He had a blast playing in his band “Street Talk” with Zeke, Kurt and Rob. It was a great time! Still, he never really found that perfect mix of guys to write and play with and take his music career to the next level. That¹s when he cranked up his song writing and forged ahead as a solo artist.
Now, after 20 years as a songwriter and music teacher, he's releasing my first EP, “Finally”. He's especially proud of “The American Pledge”, a song he wrote after 9/11 which he hopes will inspire you and reignites your love of this great country and reminds you what it means to be an American.
