TELECOMMUNICATOR (911)
Salary Range:        $44,780-$70,778

Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or equivalent; and any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Experience preferred in dispatching fire, EMS, and/or law enforcement within an emergency communications center. Successful completion of American Heart Association Healthcare CPR certification, Priority Dispatch EMD, Priority Dispatch Emergency Telecommunicator certification, Priority Dispatch EFD, and North Carolina Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification requirements no later than one year from initial employment date. Participation in the Emergency Services Ride-A-Long Program. Approval by Medical Director to function as an EMD in Pitt County. Ability to work 12 hour shifts (both day and nights on a rotating basis). Participation in the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Ride-A-Long Program. Approved by Pitt County Emergency Management and Pitt County Sheriff’s Office. Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina.
