Job Summary: Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of mammography images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the mammography center.
Major Job Functions:
- Performs diagnostic/screening mammography which includes work up for symptomatic patients and additional imaging for abnormal mammograms.
- Present diagnostic breast cases to radiologist for review.
- Opportunity for training in bone densitometry studies.
- Opportunity to learn breast procedures as well as Contrast Mammography.
- Obtain patient’s clinical history as appropriate to procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness of mammography rooms.
- Explain procedure to patient and maintain patient safety.
- Follow all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Communicate with patients in a respectful, appropriate and courteous manner.
- Performs QC tests as needed.
- Offer shift differential pay for late shift and weekends as needed.

Specifications:
- Education: Graduate of an ARRT-recognized educational program in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: No post graduate experience required.
- Certification/License/Registration: ARRT registered in Mammography required. Keep updated CPR certification offered through employer. Maintains Continuing Education Credits.
