Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified ASSISTANT DIRECTOR to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families while ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our childcare center. This position offers the opportunity for growth and may lead to advancement into a future Director role.

Responsibilities:

• Accountability for the operation of the center alongside Center Director, ensuring that the center is operating in accordance with the company and state licensing standards. (Manage staff by planning work schedules and evaluating staff performance.)
• Responsible for ensuring a safe nurturing environment for the all children
• Promote a positive image of the company while demonstrating a high quality standard from within the center
• Recruit, select, train, and retain teachers
• Positive approach and team building among staff
• Assisting with touring and enrolling new families while maintaining a superb experience for current families
• Flexibility of assisting during events outside of a typical work day
• Help teach and provide classroom coverage as needed to support staff and ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous management experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred
• Teaching experience in early childhood education or a related field
• Prefer a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of concentration
• Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply
• Proficient computer skills in a variety of business-related programs

Schedule:

• Minimum 10-hour daily shift
• Monday through Friday
