OVERVIEW 
 
The Resource Development (RD) Data & Events Manager manages and analyzes all data and event tasks to fundraising activities and department needs. The role focuses on maintaining accurate and comprehensive donor data, performing in-depth analysis of fundraising metrics, and providing actionable insights to optimize donor engagement strategies. This individual ensures the integrity of donor databases and supports the fundraising team in data-driven decision-making to maximize donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. This individual will manage the event database, attendee responses, vendor contracts, and logistics. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
Data Management & Maintenance: 
  • Oversee the fundraising database's integrity, accuracy, and security (e.g., CRM systems such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc.). 
  • Regularly update donor information, including contact details, donation history, and engagement preferences. 
  • Implement data hygiene processes to clean and standardize donor data. 
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations. 
  • Enter expenses/receipts for credit card purchases of CDO       
Data Analysis & Reporting: 
  • Analyze donor data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth. 
  • Generate regular reports on key fundraising metrics such as donor retention rates, average donation size, weekly gift reports, committee reports, and campaign performance. 
  • Provide data-driven insights to support fundraising strategies, event planning, and donor segmentation. 
  • Present data findings and recommendations to senior leadership and fundraising teams. 
Donor Segmentation & Targeting: 
  • Develop and maintain donor segmentation models based on behavior, donation history, and engagement. 
  • Work closely with the fundraising team to create targeted campaigns for different donor segments. 
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of personalized fundraising campaigns. 
Technology & System Optimization: 
  • Lead the selection and implementation of data management tools and platforms to streamline fundraising operations. 
  • Ensure data systems are optimized for reporting, tracking, and donor communications. 
  • Oversee all data management organization with RD team. 
Collaboration & Communication: 
  • Collaborate with the fundraising, marketing, and events teams to align data strategies with organizational goals. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related inquiries and requests within the fundraising department. 
  • Partner with IT and other departments to ensure data security and system integrations. 
  • Coordinate Advisory Council meeting agendas and packets 
  • Take notes during committee and council meetings 
  • Provide calendar and administrative support to the Chief Development Officer 
Compliance & Risk Management: 
  • Ensure adherence to fundraising regulations, donor privacy policies, and best practices. 
  • Implement processes to mitigate data-related risks, including data breaches and loss of sensitive donor information. 
Event Logistics: 
  • Partner with the RD team to implement events in seven counties. 
  • Managing all event details and attendance. 
  • Vendor relationships include scheduling, communications, and invoices. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – 
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • At least one (1) year of professional experience in the field of finance, business administration, data science, or a related field. 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, business administration, or a related field. 
  • Experience:  
    • Professional experience in a non-profit and/or youth-serving setting. 
    • Professional experience in the field of accounting, business, data science, sales, fundraising, or a related field. 
  • Skills:
    • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail 
    • Data visualization and the ability to clearly communicate data trends 
    • Data cleaning and preparation 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft systems, including Excel 
    • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Jira, and related programs 
    • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
