Childcare Assistant

5 hours per month

Always first and third Thur from 5:30pm-8pm

• Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ranging from infants to elementary aged children
• Assist in supervising children at all times and ensure their safety and well-being
• Meet the individual needs of children across various developmental stages
• Maintain a clean and organized childcare area
• Communicate effectively with childcare coordinator, director and staff regarding any concerns or incidents
• Follow all safety policies and emergency procedures

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience caring for children of various ages
• Ability to manage multiple children with different developmental needs
• Patient, dependable, organized, and engaging
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergency or high-stress situations
• Ability to pass a background check as well as drug screen

• Ideal Candidate:

• Enjoys working with children and supporting families
• Is warm, energetic, and creative
• Can adapt activities for children of different ages
• Is reliable and committed to attending bi-weekly sessions consistently
• Experience working with children in a church, daycare, school, after-school program, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
