CLEANER PART-TIME
Eastern Carolina Vocational Center Inc. has an opening for a CLEANER PART-TIME in the JANITORIAL DEPARTMENT. This position is responsible for keeping buildings and grounds in a clean and orderly condition. Perform duties such as cleaning floors, glass, and removing trash/recycled material.
Hours: Mon – Fri; 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Carry bathroom items and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Services, cleans, and replenishes supply in restrooms.
- Gathers and empty trash or recyclable materials.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Clean windows and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and cloths.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming them
- Medium work with lifting and/or moving objects up to 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
- Ability to hear and speak
- Constant standing/walking
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to reach, handle, finger
- Frequent stooping, crouching
- May assist in the movement or relocation of furniture
Background check must be favorable to work in multiple office buildings. Dependable transportation and excellent attendance are expected.
