K-8 Private School Teacher - Walton Academy
Pay: $40,000–$45,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons aligned to the NC Standard Course of Study
• Track student growth using pre- and post-tests
• Implement a consistent classroom behavior management system
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff
• Assist with administering and recording Iowa Test of Basic Skills assessments
• Use technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Participate actively in school life, including music programs, festivals, and other student-centered events
• Demonstrate ongoing professional growth

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution (Education Related Field)

Experience:

• Teaching experience preferred

• Strong understanding of hands-on learning experiences that actively engage students
• Ability to integrate age-appropriate technology and AI tools to support and differentiate instruction
• Ability to create engaging, creative lessons that foster curiosity and deep learning
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and staff
• Effective classroom management with a consistent behavior system
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior
• Ability to maintain student engagement and build a positive learning environment
