About Us

NAMI Pitt is a non-for-profit organization licensed with the North Carolina Secretary of State and certified as tax-exempt by IRS. NAMI Pitt is affiliated with NAMI (national organization) and NAMI NC. Individuals and families may join NAMI Pitt as dues-paying members. These members are dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with mental illness, their families and friends, and the community. To carry out this mission, volunteers with NAMI Pitt provide Support Groups for families and individuals with mental illnesses, community education, and information and referral. All supports and services are provided at no cost to individuals or organizations.
