The primary role of Eastern AHEC is to support the healthcare workforce for 23 counties in eastern North Carolina. We do this by providing education throughout the life of health professionals from encouraging and preparing high school students for careers in health, supporting students in health profession training, and working with practicing professionals by providing continuing education and in-office practice improvement support.
