Spring Arbor of Greenville cordially invites you to our next Dementia Caregiver Support Group on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 5pm-6:30pm. Please see formal flyer attached (PNG and PDF attached). The event will take place in our sunroom, and we will provide snacks and refreshments. Please RSVP by June 22nd as seats are limited.
In North Carolina, over a third of caregivers have been providing care for three or more years. Many feel unprepared and overwhelmed, highlighting the need for better access to caregiver support and resources. As a caregiver for a loved one with dementia, we know how important it is to provide you with both valuable and educational resources on the ever-changing landscape of dementia care.
Meet Our Speaker:
Our speaker will be Julie Gaven, MS, CCC-SLP, APRM, CDP. She is the East Carolina University site coordinator for the NC Registry for Brain Health. Through her role, she shares resources, caregiver support, and research opportunities. Advocating for rural health equity, supporting vibrant longevity, and increasing representation for historically underserved communities are her professional passions. Julie will talk about current brain health and dementia statistics.
You can learn more about the NC Registry for Brain Health team at ncbrainhealth.org/what-we-do.
This will be an informal meeting and there will be plenty of time to ask questions. We do however request an RSVP by June 22nd as seats are limited and we want to make sure to have enough resource packets for guests to take home with them. Please email me back or call back to reserve a spot. You may also reach out to me if you have additional questions about Spring Arbor of Greenville!
