The 2004 WALK TO CURE DIABETES will be held in Greenville on Saturday, October 23 at the Pitt County Fairgrounds. The walk is presented by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and will begin at 10:30 am with a 5-kilometer walk (3.1 miles). Walkers will be treated to lunch, snacks and the "Best T-Shirt" design contest. This will be the first time that the walk will be held in Greenville, but it has seen great success in the Research Triangle Park and in Wilmington.
