Greenville Museum of Art (GMoA) announces new growth for the new year
Greenville, NC:  The GMoA Board of Trustees has gained new support as three new members were voted in.  Please join us in both recognizing and welcoming the following:
  • Gayla Johnson
  • Jane Francis Nowell
  • Jordan Spelce
They will be joining current Board Members:
  • President: Sarah Weir
  • Vice President: Mark Rasdorf
  • Treasurer: Charlotte Moye
  • Secretary: Miki Ragsdale
  • Past President: Rachel Bridgers
  • Trustees Emeritus: Dewane Frutiger & Judy Whichard
  • Board Members: Leah Arnold, Grayson Blake, Katie Cannon, Larry Houston, Sierra Jones, Yoshi Newman, Amanda Senatore, Nabil Sultan, and Aileen Wilson
President, Sarah Weir: “Sarah recently opened the Sarah Weir Group, a boutique real estate firm in the heart of Uptown Greenville after 12 years as a top-performing agent in the industry. Over the course of her term, Sarah hopes to streamline fundraising efforts and strives to continue to promote the core values of the museum, inclusivity, engagement, collaboration, and accountability. Her love of the Greenville community drives her service. She also serves on the ECU Women’s Roundtable Board of Directors & Uptown Greenville Board of Directors. Sarah was actively involved in the establishment of the Junior League of Greenville & was voted Member of the Year.”
GmoA is also excited to announce the first of its community events for the new year, Super Family Game Day and GMoArcade. More information can be found at gmoa.org/event-details. Also, GMoA is honored to host “Be the Change: Actions & Reactions,” an exhibition highlighting four series of Imani C. McCray’s recent photographic work. In his efforts to help heal local, national, and global communities, McCray channels the power of photojournalism to expose truths and overcome violence and hatred while encouraging a message of love and hope.
