Permanent makeup PMU, is the process of implanting pigment under the superficial layer of the skin to resemble makeup or camouflage skin discolorations. Permanent makeup is created using a single needle machine. There are two categories within permanent makeup, cosmetic and paramedical. Cosmetic tattooing consists of microblading, Ombre powder brows, and lip pigmentation. Paramedical tattooing covers up skin discolorations such as scars, burns, and stretch marks. Scalp micropigmentation is also a part of paramedical tattooing.
