SUMMARY:Rally for Ally Costumes for a Cure 5K
DESCRIPTION:Rally for Ally is hosting their second annual COSTUME-THEMED event with a timed 5k\, fun run and family walk on a course through the Greenway in downtown Greenville.  Run or walk in your most creative costume and win a prize in one of several categories. Pets and strollers are welcome!  The proceeds from this event will be donated to help fund the development of a clinical trial for pediatric brain cancer at the McKnight Brain Institute\, University of Florida.  10% of proceeds will remain within the Greenville Community to provide resources for teens diagnosed with cancer.\n\nRally for Ally was formed by Mike and Kelly Hart in 2015 in honor of their daughter\, Allyson\, after her battle with a rare brain tumor called an ependymoma.  Since then Rally for Ally has raised $45\,000 for pediatric brain cancer research.   Rally for Ally is a charitable fund under the sponsorship of the Community Foundation of NC East\, a 501 (c)(3) organization.
